Getting in touch
There is no contact form on this site, deliberately. Under the Privacy Act 2020 the cleanest position for a site that collects nothing is to collect nothing at all, so email is the only channel. A reply usually follows within two business days.
Editorial
Corrections and content questions
An indicative band that has drifted, a facility described wrongly, a broken link, or a claim that needs a better source. Corrections are welcome and are acted on quickly, because a money page that is wrong is worse than one that does not exist.
[email protected]Partnerships
Lender and referral enquiries
This site refers to a single finance partner, Prospa, and that relationship is disclosed on every page. Editorial coverage is independent and unpaid, and no lender can buy a mention in a guide. Enquiries are read even so.
[email protected]Finance applications
This site is not a lender or a broker
Workingcapital.org.nz cannot quote a rate, support an application, or make a finance decision, and email enquiries asking for any of those cannot be answered. The calculator on the home page produces an indicative figure, and its handoff reaches Prospa, who assess and decide.
Approaching a lender directly is equally valid, and the guide to what lenders assess sets out what an application usually needs either way.
Corrections
What happens to one
A correction is read, checked against the primary source the page cites, and either applied or answered with an explanation of why the original stands. Where a page is changed, its last-reviewed date moves and that date is visible on the page and in the sitemap, so a reader can see that something was revised rather than having to take it on trust.
The corrections most worth sending are factual ones. An indicative band that no longer reflects the market, a regulatory reference that has been superseded, a facility described in a way somebody who writes them would not recognise, or a claim that reads as more certain than the evidence behind it. All four have real consequences for a reader making a funding decision, and all four are the kind of thing a practitioner spots immediately and a writer does not.
Disagreements about emphasis are welcome too and are treated differently. Where two experienced people would describe the same market differently, the page usually needs to acknowledge both rather than pick one, and that is a useful thing to be told.
Response times
What to expect, and when
A reply usually follows within two business days. Corrections that can be verified against a linked primary source are commonly actioned faster than that, because the check is quick and leaving an error up while a reply is drafted helps nobody. Corrections that require a judgement, such as whether an indicative band still reflects the market, take longer because the honest answer involves looking at what the market is actually doing rather than at what the page currently says.
Partnership enquiries are read and are answered honestly, which frequently means declining. This site refers to one finance partner and that relationship is disclosed on every page. Adding a second would be a commercial decision with editorial consequences, and it is not something that happens because an approach was well written.
What will not get a useful reply is a request for a rate, a quote, an application, or help with a lenderโs decision. None of those are things this site is able to do, and an honest short answer saying so is more use than a slow one that pretends otherwise.
Suggestions
Machine classes and guides worth adding
This site covers eight facilities and five situations, which is a deliberate starting point rather than a complete map of New Zealand working capital lending. Suggestions for what is missing are genuinely useful, particularly from people who write or broker these agreements, because the gap between what looks important from the outside and what actually decides a deal is usually where the useful pages are.
The same applies to the guides. Where a question comes up repeatedly in a trade and is answered nowhere sensible, that is worth knowing about. What will not be added is anything that would need a claim this site cannot substantiate, which rules out live rate comparisons and lender rankings however often they are asked for.
Privacy
What happens to an email
An email sent here is read and replied to and is not added to any list, because there is no list. This site runs no newsletter, no lead capture and no contact form, and it holds no database of readers. Consistent with the Privacy Act 2020, the cleanest position for a site that has no need to collect personal information is to collect none.
The calculator reinforces that rather than working around it. It runs entirely in the browser, nothing is transmitted, and the handoff to our finance partner carries a partner tracking parameter and nothing about the reader. Anything supplied to a lender is supplied to that lender on its own site, under its own privacy policy.
Who publishes this
Editorial responsibility
Content on Workingcapital.org.nz is written and reviewed by Matt Stiles, Editor. Every guide carries a named author and a last-reviewed date on the page itself, because on a money topic the identity of whoever stands behind the content is part of what a reader is entitled to see. The about page sets out the editorial standards those reviews are held to.
